“Korea Janay, Karma Monay, get downstairs right now!” I’m so into my book, I almost forgot its bedtime.

“Ma’am.”

“Bring me the hair supplies, clean up your room, and get ready for bed.”

“Yes. Ma’am.”

“See you making all dat noise, Karma. Now, we got to go to bed.”

“Come here Korea.”

“Yes mother.” I know she didn’t just get an attitude with me.

“What’s your problem?” She puts her head down because even though she’s the toughest she respects me.

“I told Karma to be quiet so you won’t be mad at us.”

“Baby, why would I be mad?”

“Cause daddy not around.”

“No, baby it’s time for bed. Look at the clock. What does it say?”

“8:05.”

“8:30.”

“I’m finished with my book . It’s time for Bible stories and your prayers.” I read them their stories, they said their prayers, and after I finish tucking my babies in I go to the mirror and take out my rods. My bouncy curls fit my face. I dyed the tips of my hair honey blond.

“Ugh, this boy won’t stop.” The pain gets worse. I got to get to the phone.

“Ouch, shit.” Khalil gets out of bed. My baby only four, but he knows when something is wrong.

“Mama, is that my lil brother. He’s ready to come out. He told me so.”

“Okay, baby bring mama the phone.” He runs to my bedroom and grabs my phone. My water breaks and he notice.

“Mama, you peed your pants. You gonna get in trouble because you didn’t use the potty.”

“No, remember I told you about the water bag that carries your baby brother. It popped and he ready to come home with us. Call your father. ” Now, the pain is getting stronger. The tears start to flow.

“Daddie answer the phone. Mama is crying and she needs to get my baby brother out.”

“Baby, see if your sisters are up.” He runs into their room, and of course they are asleep. I look out the window, and Mama Rose is on her stoop.

“Khalil, go get Mama Rose.” I pick up the phone and call Jovian’s ass again. Then, I call Mama Jo, and then Tracy. No answer. Shit.

Khalil runs out the door and comes back with Mama Rose.

“Hey baby. It’s time.” She says.

“Yeah, Mama Rose.”

“Let’s change your clothes. Miguel gonna take you to the hospital. I’m getting my girls to come over and stay with your babies.”

“Their clothes already out.” Miguel rushes up the stairs.

“Hey, you okay.”

“No, I’m hurting, my bag is downstairs, and I’m going to change my clothes.

It’s been a year of chasing, and I finally got her. Kaylah is my dream girl. She is my favorite cup of cocoa with marshmallows. She is 5’5 with brown eyes, good credit, and she made a nigga wait. Now, she standing there in a red negligee, but her body ain’t all that. Her ass is flat, she got a lil gut, her thighs rub together but not in the thick way. But she ain’t easy. I love competition. I grab her ass and move her thong to the side.
